Acupuncture

Simply put,

acupuncture supports the body in doing what it does best,

which is to heal itself.

Acupuncture works by directly stimulating the nervous system and immune system.  Second only to exercise, acupuncture stimulates the production of endorphins — absolutely essential in returning all of the body systems to a state of equilibrium (homeostasis).

What is an acupuncture treatment like?

  • Needles as fine as a human hair are inserted at specific points on the body.
  • Sensations felt range from tingling, warmth, heaviness.
  • Some points produce stronger sensations which subsides quickly following insertion.
  • Acupuncture mobilizes your immune system to do the work.
  • The frequency of treatment will vary for each individual. As your body improves, fewer visits are needed.
